The Hospizstiftung Region Aachen is committed to providing excellent medical care for seriously ill people at the end of their lives and compassionate support for them and their loved ones – whether at home or in an inpatient facility. It provides financial and material support to inpatient hospices, outpatient hospice services, and the Palliative Netzwerk für die Region Aachen e.V. In addition, it works closely with other organizations to ensure that support services are optimally networked—a strong alliance that offers stability to people in difficult times.
Every year in the run-up to Christmas, regional companies, associations, cultural figures, private individuals, and loyal supporters support the hospice foundation with activities such as charity sales, fundraising events, concerts, lectures, and much more as part of the #Benefizadventskalender campaign. These are small rays of hope that enrich the waiting time until Christmas.
Our contribution this year:
In December, we are selling a total of 35 high-quality prints of individual motifs from the AI project “Säulen der Gemeinschaft,” a collaboration between citizens, AI artist Sebastian Wiessner (Swindles – Aachen lebt!) & our gallery.
Hundreds of people from Aachen donated drawings to the campaign, which were used to create something unique: with the help of AI tools and digital image processing, Wiessner, graphic designer and pioneer of AI-based content creation, transformed these motifs into 3D objects. “Every line, every sketch is part of a larger whole.”
The sale of the pictures will start on Tuesday, December 2, and run until Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025.
The high-quality prints will be framed and sold together with the respective original drawing at a unit price of € 30.
