From May 23 to June 6, we will be presenting an exhibition of bronzes by Wolfgang Binding at our gallery.
Whether on hikes or in a café, sculptor and graphic artist Wolfgang Binding, born in Munich in 1937, finds inspiration for his bronzes everywhere. His sketches often arise spontaneously, and a few of them are later transformed in the studio into a deliberately crafted three-dimensional form. The goal is to transform the wax models into bronze sculptures; the aim is “to find a satisfying path between desire and possibility and to preserve in bronze what was found in the wax.” (Wolfgang Binding in: “Werkübersicht Bronzen-Zeichnungen 2009-2012,” Verlag Depelmann, 2013)
We are pleased to present a large selection of these works across two floors.
In addition to the exhibition, you can also view the works digitally here via our virtual tour.
If you would like to visit the Binding exhibition in person, you have the opportunity to do so until Saturday, June 6.
Opening hours during the exhibition:
Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
